Rick Burnett Baker is native Texan who holds a BA degree in Asian Studies and Classical Chinese Literature, a Graduate Certificate in US Urban Policy, and a Masters (MRP) in Regional and Urban Planning (thesis: Nation Building in Singapore).


Baker was based in Saudi Arabia and Singapore from 1976 to 1985 working with civil engineering and oil well service companies. He worked and travelled throughout SE Asia, Northern Africa, and China. In 1985 he returned to the US to complete academic pursuits and continues to reside in New York State. 


Member of the NPPA (National Press Photographers Association) and Photographic Society of America (PSA).
